Analyze Your Live Google and Meta Ads with Claude. For Free.
TL;DR
MCP connects Claude directly to your Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts. Skills are saved prompts that Claude calls automatically. You ask a question, it picks the right skill, pulls live data, and runs the analysis. 7 ready-made skills included: CPA Diagnostics, Wasted Spend Finder, Budget Planner, Creative Fatigue Detection, Client Reports, Anomaly Detection, and Performance Dashboard. We explored this use case further and built a full marketing intelligence mini-app around it.
The most interesting workflow I have come across
You set up a personalized connection between Claude and your ad accounts. Takes 10 minutes. After that, no more exporting CSVs. No more switching between Analytics, Ads Manager, and Google Sheets. You ask Claude a question about your campaigns and it answers from your live data.
This works because of two things: MCP and Skills.
What MCP does
MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects Claude to your data. Live. No exporting. No copy-paste. No stale reports.
You configure a connection to your Google Ads account and your Meta Ads account. Once connected, Claude can query your campaign data in real time. Impressions, clicks, conversions, spend, CPA, ROAS — all accessible through a conversation.
The setup takes about 10 minutes per ad platform.
What Skills do
Skills are saved prompts you load once. Claude calls them automatically based on your question. You do not need to remember which prompt to use. You ask a question and Claude picks the right skill and runs the analysis.
Think of Skills as specialized analysts that live inside Claude. Each one knows how to do one thing very well.
7 ready-made skills
CPA Diagnostics
Analyzes your cost per acquisition across campaigns, ad sets, and time periods. Identifies which campaigns are driving up CPA and why. Breaks down the funnel to find where drop-offs happen.
Wasted Spend Finder
Scans your account for money that is not producing results. Low-performing keywords, audiences with zero conversions, placements that drain budget. Gives you a prioritized list of what to cut.
Budget Scenario Planner
Models what happens if you shift budget between campaigns. "What if I move 20% from Campaign A to Campaign B?" It runs the projection based on historical performance data.
Creative Fatigue Detection
Flags ads where frequency is climbing and CTR is dropping. The signal that your audience has seen the creative too many times. Tells you which ads need refreshing before they burn out.
Client Report Narratives
Generates written performance summaries from your data. Not just numbers — actual narrative explanations of what happened, why, and what to do next. Ready to send to a client or stakeholder.
Anomaly Detection
Monitors your campaigns for unusual patterns. Sudden CPA spikes, unexpected drops in impressions, conversion rate shifts. Alerts you to problems before they drain your budget.
Google Ads Performance Dashboard
Builds a visual dashboard artifact directly in Claude. Charts, tables, trend lines — all generated from your live data. Interactive and shareable.
Brand Identity Prompt
There is also a brand identity setup. Claude interviews you about your business, audience, goals, and competitive landscape. Then it personalizes every analysis. Not generic insights. Yours.
This means when CPA Diagnostics runs, it knows your target CPA. When the Budget Planner models scenarios, it knows your growth targets. Every skill becomes context-aware.
We built a full product around this
We explored this use case so thoroughly that we turned it into a complete marketing intelligence mini-app for one of our clients. Live Google Ads and Meta Ads dashboards. An AI marketing advisor. 44 specialized skills. Interactive artifacts. All in one interface.
What started as a Claude workflow became a production-grade tool that replaced hours of manual analysis with two-minute diagnostics.

How this connects to our earlier posts
If you follow this series, you will notice a progression. Post 1 was about using AI for competitor ad research. Post 3 was about Claude Skills for sales workflows. This post connects it all: live data, smart analysis, one conversation.
The pattern is always the same. Find a painful manual process. Connect AI to the data source. Build Skills that encode your expertise. Let the AI do the repetitive analysis so you can focus on decisions.
